RootsTech Day #2
What a fun filled day! After an early morning tour of the almost-ready Expo Hall, I enjoyed the keynote session — Steve Rockwood and the Property Brothers (Becca was quite jealous that I got to see them while she was at school).
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting some of my BYU-Idaho students in person and talking to people about the wonderful FHGEN (family history & genealogy) program BYU-Idaho offers online.
My good friend Amy and I met up with Kimberly and Jeff Savage, a husband and wife team that happened to win the RootsTech Giveaway’s on our blogs last fall. They’re enjoying the conference in the most affordable way possible (free!) and we’re happy for them.
My dad delivered a masterful presentation, and even sang songs to his audience!
And one of my FAVORITE things about this conference is meeting up with friends and having a good time together. Here I am at the fantastic Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert with my great genealogy friend Lisa and my wonderful neighbor Barb.
Looking forward to two more amazing days, (although I must say, this momma is starting to miss her babies already).
